The leper asked Dr. Singh for some money to eat, Dr. Singh told him as to why don’t you get your self treated. The leper smiled and replied to the doctor, “I don’t get enough money for my food even, from where shall I get money for my treatment. It was a challenge for Dr. Singh so he told the leper to come to his clinic for treatment. The leper was S.K.Chhedi, he came to Dr. Singh’s clinic and the doctor kept him in his premises for three months, treated him free with injections and oral medicines, when his ulcers where all dried up Dr. Singh gave him a pair of new paijamas and sent him home to start his previous fish selling business and advised him to come to him every month for medicines. This was great news for other lepers S.K.Jamiruddin and S.K. Bhikho, they also came for free treatment and they were also treated free. In 1974 while roaming around in different villages Dr. Singh located that a son is beating his parents and cursing them both for their early death as both of them were blind due to matured cataract in both the eyes for several years and the parents were a big burden to their son as the son had to give them food and had to take care of their toilets and had to clean their dirty clothes soiled with urine and stool . Dr. Singh could not bare the sight of the old couple being mercilessly beaten by their son and brought both the parents to his clinic and got them operated for cataract by an eye surgeon. The old couples were so happy to get back their sight after many years and they blessed the doctor. When the two got back their sight they were so overjoyed that they both started shouting “I can see now look there is a tree, a cow and a man”. Dr. Singh was happy to find that sight is so precious in once life and he started organizing free eye camps every year in Pirpainti for the poor. Thousands of operations have been performed free and it is still continuing.

This free distribution continued for 2 years and later had to be discontinued due to poor electricity supply. One of the two children named Satwan aged 29 yrs Who was a polio victim in 1980 is today from village Tarwa(Pirpainti). Satwan has studied up to B.A. but is jobless and still comes to Dr. Singh for help. “Today I am feeling proud to say that I am First person in the country to Import Polio vaccine and give it to thousands of poor village children free and restrict spread of polio in the locality.”
